What you see in the image is part of a large area called the Parque das Nações (Park of Nations). It arose from a degraded area of Lisbon and recovered for the world exhibition Expo 98. Today is a prime area of the capital of Portugal, with many places to stroll, meet, go shopping or stay in good hotels.

O que se vê na imagem é parte de uma grande área chamada Parque das Nações. Surgiu de uma zona degrada da cidade de Lisboa, recuperada para a grande exposição mundial Expo 98. Hoje é uma zona nobre da capital de Portugal, com muitos espaços para passear, conhecer, ir às compras ou ficar hospedado em bons hotéis.

I like the blue and white stripes here and the shape of the benches. I am always pleased when rundown areas are brought to life again for the people of a city.
